About Paul

Paul is originally from New Zealand. He grew up in the small town of Te Awamutu, population 8000. Paul has dedicated over thirty-five years to his career in golf.  After a distinguished amateur career, during which he competed alongside some of today's top New Zealand professionals, including Michael Campbell, Phil Tataurangi, and Steve Alker, Paul chose to commit his life to the world of professional golf.

Following a four-year golf apprenticeship, during which he earned Apprentice of the Year in 1994, Paul achieved Class A status in 1995.  He was head teaching professional at New Zealand's premier resort, Millbrook Resort in Queenstown, and ran New Zealand's #1 golf schools alongside his mentor, John Griffin.

Paul has played competitive golf all over the world, and in 1998 he moved to the United States to pursue a professional playing career on a full time basis, during which he played on the Canadian Tour, the South American Tour and the NGA Tour. Paul joined MountainGate Country Club in 2002 and is currently Director of Instruction for the Mountaingate Country Club Teaching Academy.  Paul's clients include several collegiate players, touring golf professionals, including players on the PGA and Nationwide Tours. 

Paul lives in Mar Vista, Los Angeles and Pebble Beach, California. He is Married to Gabrielle and between them they have  five children Annabelle, Olivia, Grace, Lily and Molly.
